The WarmWire cable, designed for easy installation, comes on a spool and features an attached 10-foot power lead. This versatile heating solution works wonderfully under a variety of flooring materials, including natural stone, tile, laminate, engineered woods, carpet, vinyl, linoleum, and solid hardwood (when used with sleepers).

The total design freedom of the WarmWire system allows for installation around turns and obstructions, such as a toilet or kitchen island. It is also approved for shower installation, subject to the approval of the local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).

To maintain consistent cable spacing, the included cable strap can be adhered to the subfloor using the double-sided tape provided in the kit or with an adhesive. The cable can be spaced at either 3.0 inches on center for standard heating (12 Watts/sq ft), 2.5 inches for extra heat (14.4 Watts/sq ft), or 3.5 inches for minimal heat (10 Watts/sq ft).

The WarmWire system comes with a touchscreen programmable thermostat that offers a 7-day programming schedule, dual-voltage 120/240 VAC, and a built-in GFCI for safety. The thermostat can control up to 150 square feet (1800 watts) at 120V or 300 square feet (3600 watts) at 240V. It features both floor and air sensing modes, as well as SmartStart Technology, which automatically adjusts the start time to ensure the floor has reached the set temperature at the scheduled time. Additionally, the energy use monitor shows the hours of system operation.

Ensuring a working system and proper installation is easy. Before and after installing the floor over the mat, you can test the resistance of the heating elements using a Digital Multi Meter. Each cable has a UL tag on the power lead with a resistance (Ohm) range printed on it. By setting the Multi Meter to the appropriate range and testing the colored power lead wires, as well as the colored wires against the copper ground wire, you can verify that the system is undamaged and functioning correctly.

The WarmWire cable is thin, durable, and energy-efficient, with an input of 120V and an output of 12W/SqFt (41 BTUs). Each kit contains a 39-foot spool with a 10-foot armored power lead, providing heating coverage for 10 square feet. The system is designed for easy installation with complete design freedom, allowing you to navigate turns, fixtures, and obstructions with ease.
